Farewell, 2012 (please scroll down to the bottom)

It was quite a year I think for a lot of us.

Many departures of things, relationships, jobs and situations which had run their course. The wonderful thing is, with the old leaving or having left, the new and even better have come in or are winging their way to us.

I am so very grateful for everything which transpired this year.  I feel stronger  as a result.  I have greater resolve and more faith in the future with the new energies.  Do you feel the same?

I posted yesterday about change.  I feel change is a-coming.  The old ways are crumbling.  The dark is making way for light, more light, in every area of life.  In relationships, careers and health situations.

In the traditions of many cultures around the world, remember to make your wishes for all you desire to have in the New Year at midnight.  If you wish (and I would strongly suggest it), please take this opportunity to re-dedicate yourself to love, light, peace, joy and oneness, to embodying the highest and the best of you.

And with that, it is time to say a fond Farewell to Year 2012!

Here's Wishing You and All Those Whom You love A Very Happy & Prosperous New Year 2013!
Sending much love and blessings to all of you.  And remember to Keep Holding the Frequencies of Love and to Shine Bright Like A Diamond!  See you next year!

Wind Of Change

We can see that the world order is changing.  The old style of government is changing all over the world with dictatorships crumbling as people are standing up for change.  People want something better for themselves and are willing to take a chance on the new because 'same old, same old' got them so far and no further.

It is said that the outer world is a reflection of the inner world or our interior world which are our thoughts, feelings and state of being.

For our exterior world to change, our interior world must also change. And we know change is not always easy.  Old ways are deeply ingrained and cleaning out the old so that the new can come in is part of the process. But it is a part of the process no one likes because it involves examination of the stuff that didn't work.  If we are to change and grow, reflection is necessary so that we can learn what worked and what didn't.  There is really no need to bang ourselves over the head with the stuff that didn't work for us though!  Sackcloth and ashes are soooo two millennia ago!   The thing is to take the lesson and move on.

Many people are in situations they wish to change but many situations are not easy to change all at once.  Sometimes all we can do is to change the way we react to the situation or even stop reacting, if possible.  It is a discipline which takes much practice but it's worth it.  When we are busy reacting to what is, all our attention is on it and as energy follows thought, the very thing we don't want to have in our lives will grow!  And the situation could become even worse.

The Serenity Prayer is a powerful mantra to say at times like this, when faced with a situation we are not happy with.  You can say it as many times as you like.  The more the better.  The good news is that being at peace with what is, acts like a launching pad for all the good stuff we want to create in our lives.  We will not be investing our energies in keeping the old situation in place but instead be putting our energies to improving our situation or creating a brand new one.

Many people have said that with the Shift, the New Earth is coming into being.  I feel this means that old things which do not serve, will gracefully ease away to make way for the new for all of us.
Today, I leave you with one of my favorite rock anthems by Scorpions, Wind of Change, like you have never heard it before!  To those who know me well, yes, my inner Rock Goddess could not resist this.  Have a Happy Sunday!

What About A Theme Song?

A few years ago, I was hanging out with some friends of mine and the idea of having a theme song for the year came up.  I had not ever thought of having one before.  After some thought, I chose the song "Jump" by Madonna.  At that time, I had wanted to leave my job and do something new and different with my life.

The lyrics of the song (from azlyrics) are:

"Jump"

There's only so much you can learn in one place
The more that I wait, the more time that I waste

I haven't got much time to waste
It's time to make my way
I'm not afraid of what I'll face
But I'm afraid to stay
I'm going down my road and I can make it alone
I'll work and I'll fight till I find a place of my own

[Chorus]
Are you ready to jump
Get ready to jump
Don't ever look back oh baby
Yes, I'm ready to jump
Just take my hand
get ready to jump

We learned our lesson from the start
My sisters and me
The only thing you can depend on
Is your family
Life's gonna drop you down like the limbs from a tree
It sways and it swings and it bends until it makes you see

[Chorus]

Are you ready?

There's only so much you can learn in one place
The more that you wait
The more time that you waste

I'll work and I'll fight till I find a place of my own

It sways and it swings and it bends until you make it your own

I can make it alone [repeat]
(my sisters and me)

[Chorus X2]

Great lyrics, don't you think?  I even had that song for my ringtone.

In case you're wondering, it actually took me years to make the jump.  Apparently, having a great theme song alone wasn't enough to help me out of the rut I found myself in!

The seed of change was planted but for a long time, I lived in the land of "I don't know."  I didn't know what I wanted to do.  I only knew what I didn't want to do.  I was stuck for years.

Have you ever had that experience?

At that time, I didn't know that the "I don't knows" were keeping me suspended in never never happening land because it had cut me off from my knowing and Universal Intelligence.

Abraham (the collective of non-physical beings channelled by Esther Hicks of "Ask & And It Is Given" fame) have said that we get the information or the 'truths' we are most proximate to.  So, I guess when you're in "I don't know" mode, you get more "I don't knows"!

What I should have been saying then was "What do I need to know for my life to be in alignment with who I am which would change everything and bring me greatest fulfillment now?" (This is a take on an Access Consciousness question - more on that another time.)

I still think that having a theme song for the year or for a time is a great idea.  I think a catchy theme song which is in alignment with what you want to achieve can remind  you of your goals and help you to keep on keeping on.  Your theme song can encourage you when things seem bleak and all looks lost.

For 2013, I have decided I am going to have a theme song and this time I am going to work it!  I will let you know what it is on New Year's Day.

For now, I am leaving you with all my love and the official video of Madonna's Jump which is especially dedicated to all of you who want to make life changes.  I want you to know I feel you and I love you!
