New Year Resolutions, Anyone?

“The object of a New Year is not that we should have a new year. It is that we should have a new soul and a new nose; new feet, a new backbone, new ears, and new eyes. Unless a particular man made New Year resolutions, he would make no resolutions. Unless a man starts afresh about things, he will certainly do nothing effective.”
 G.K. Chesterton

2012 is winding down and in a scant few days, it will be New Year's Day 2013.

I have been wondering about what the New Year will bring.  2012 was quite a ride for me, I must say!

I have heard so many people saying that 2012 was a @#$%^&*() of a year!!!

With the New Year, comes an opportunity to start afresh.  It's almost a blank slate in a way.  Full of possibilities.  And I have been thinking of New Year resolutions.  It's been years since I had made any because my resolve always seemed to fizzle out before the end of January!

So what to put in my list?  I am so excited about learning even more, expanding my skills and talents, and reaching out to more people, but I know it all sounds pretty vague.

I am thinking it is time to set some realistic goals, get stretch goals in there too and to set out some concrete steps to realize them. ( I am still pondering over what they will be exactly!)  Or perhaps it is the best time to get moving on that Vision Board I have been promising myself to do for the last couple of months!

I had great results the last time I did one.  What I wanted didn't happen all at once, though.  The first big thing on the Vision Board which manifested took about a year.

Was it all easy peasy?  Not exactly.  It took some work to get there but it was worth it, in the end.

The Vision Board is a great tool to focus the mind.  Now of course, armed with the experience of having achieved these goals, I know what I can do to tweak the process so that I can get better results sooner.

I will let you know how it goes.  I would love to hear if you are also going to be setting some New Year resolutions and how you intend to make them happen.

I have a feeling this 2013 will be a good year!  How about you?

Much love from my heart to yours!
